New Equipment

2 new rods and a new reel. You guys are in such trouble. I may just take jigs and twister tails this year...anything with treble hooks would almost be unfair. You guys have 26 weeks to figure it out.

I just noticed we had a visitor post - Frank - if you have not been there since 1991 then you have only missed my cousin catch 3 fish over 20 inches and he has only missed one year since then. :) The water still flows over the Chutes and the fishing gets better every year I think. The camp could use some work. The John Deer Lawn Tractor could also use some work, but it would be better if it was just present. If you were there in 1991, you would have been in the brand new cabin (I think)...the tornado that took out the log cabin was in 1990? Somebody can help me out. If you stayed in that cabin when it was brand new, your expectations should lower considerably. It has since had a propane explosion and 20 winters. It could use some TLC. Thanks for visiting...and stick around...things will get more interesting the closer we get to July.

  1. Hey guys thanks for posting your blog is great! If you dont mind could you set my expectations again? Is the cabin run down? I was there after the tornado, and it was June of 1992. What other things have happened to the cabin since? Also where are you guys staying and when? We are going to the Chutes July 2-9.
I hate to ask but what do you usually use for bait? Are there minnow/shiners that we can catch in a minnow trap? I think we used spoons and lots of top water. Any help would be much appreciated. Where are you guys from?
