As the date of our departure approaches, my excitement continues to increase. Things are really starting to come together. The Man Cave is starting to take shape, the worms have been ordered, the beer has been bought. Now, I need to find some time to get my reels lined and rods in the case. I am going to try and keep my clothes at a minimum.
I have talked to a couple of people who have returned from Canada already and they said they had a great year. The fish should be jumping in the boat. Theron and Connor might actually have a chance of winning a fish pot.
Lastly, is anyone actually believe a word Ryan has posted about the boat reviews? I can't wait to hear his review. One thing is for sure, I won't read it while I'm eating for fear of choking. Take care all and keep the posts coming.

Dear Brother and possibly ex boat partner. The SS Gin is Toxic may very well be toxic to our pot winnings this year. Fish Finder as you have experienced will put them on the fish. Walleye Killer is known to have fed the camp with his daily catch on many occasions. I have to assume they are due for some big fish. I figure messing with Ryan's confidence will give us an edge. Work with me here.....
ReplyDeleteYou are correct about Fishfinder, he is a fishing magnet and knows where the big ones are and can put them on the fish. Walleye Killer can catch fish, but can his confidence be shaken. I don't know. I've been reading his stuff all spring and he seem very sure of himself. He certainly talks the talk and maybe he can walk the walk..I don't know. I only hope I can hold up my end of the boat. By the way I picked up spare batteries for the depth finder and my walkie talkies need a charger. I'll charge them and bring them if you think so.
ReplyDeleteFalse confidence or not, my money is going on the SS Gin is Toxic. And yes, Bernie is correct, even on the worst trip ever, I had the time of my life. It was only when we started home, that things began to unravel. I even pulled a Bernie that year and said I didn't think I needed to go back. I have since rethought my position on this.
