Back OnLine
Well It took me a minute, but I was able to remember my password and here I am. You guys can stop telling lies now and lets get down to business. This year will have the most kids in camp since Trent and Ryan were getting their butts kicked by Little Dan and Cool Ray! As far as Logistics go, Dad and I were talking. Here is what we were thinking. Dad's truck, Larry's truck. Dad said he bought a cap, and my van. That is only room for 12, but what do you think about 2 sleeping in the back of the truck. Sorry, now that I typed this and did the math I realize that, we only have room for 10. Dad and I must have been drunk when we came up with that plan. Looks to me we might need 2 trucks the van and another car. Boy I hate to think about buying gas for 4 cars. Does anyone have a better idea.

So Bob's truck is for two? Three with a kid in the middle? Dad's truck seats 4 but no cap (does have cover). If we took your van, my SUV, and Bob's truck, I think that would give us room for people and cargo. It will be much easier to pack lighter since we are going up in July.
ReplyDeleteYour van - 6
My SUV 5 - No third Row seat - only cargo - but if we don't need all the cargo room our third row is split so 2/3 can be down and still leave an extra seat.
Bob's Truck- 3 (two adults, 1 kid)
Also, I will be 175 (210 now) by the Canada trip, that will free up some room.
What do you think?
We could rent a 12 passenger fan and take two vehicles but I would need to crunch the number to see if that would even help us. I highly doubt it.
Dad's truck is an extended cab. I would hate to count on it for 4 people. That is up to you little guys, I know one big guy that would not want to ride the 860 miles behind the seat of one of those trucks. At least we have a lot of kids going who don't take up much room. Just be careful about talking about the small spaces these kids can ride in. I found out the hard way that Mothers tend to get very protective of these boys.
ReplyDeleteNo. I wouldn't want anyone having to ride back there if there aren't normal bench seats that anyone could sit in. I think we would be fine with 1 truck, van, and SUV. I will see about the right time to sweet talk my wife. She loves her Acadia, I don't know if she would trust me with it or not. :) Trent's wouldn't really help us with the 2nd row captains chairs. Mine has a bench second row. I have a hitch also so we could get another cooler toter, that would help with cargo space.
ReplyDeleteMy truck is available. Beer and groceries and some duffel should fit nicely under the cover. Back seat is fairly roomy, but I haven't sat back there so I don't know how comfortable it would be over the long haul.
